Your Career Currency in the Age of AI
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the workplace, but technical skills no longer ensure career success. As AI automates everything the true "currency" of professional growth is shifting toward uniquely human capabilities - leadership, adaptability, critical thinking, relationship building, communication, and continuous learning.
Come learn how professionals at every stage of their careers can remain relevant, resilient, and valuable in an AI-enabled world. Dewayne will share practical insights on building career capital, leveraging AI as a force multiplier, and developing the skills that technology cannot replace.
This will be followed by questions and answers. Feel free to come, bring your lunch and learn about where things are headed.
This is a free event.
This month on June 30th from 12:00 - 1:00
we will be meeting at
Atlanta Tech park, 107 Technology Parkway, Peachtree Corners.
Our speaker this month is
Dewayne has spent over three decades at the intersection of leadership and digital defense, building a deep understanding of how to protect complex systems in high-stakes environments. He began his career with 20 years in the U.S. Navy, where he maintained critical computer and weapons defense systems aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), USS Constellation (CV-64), USS Kearsarge (LHD-3), and USS Spruance (DD-963). This frontline experience shaped his core philosophy: that technology alone does not win battles— it's leadership and mindset.
In his current role as the founder of SEMAIS, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Dewayne strengthens the security posture of government and commercial organizations by aligning technical strategy with mission outcomes. He collaborates with leaders to move beyond "check-the-box" compliance and instead implements his "360-Degree Cyber Visibility" framework. By teaching workforces to wear a "Hacker’s Hat," he ensures that security is not just a technical requirement but a proactive, measurable business driver or national defense solution that protects critical assets, resources, and data.
Dewayne is deeply passionate about advancing the cybersecurity conversation across the broader defense and critical infrastructure communities. He travels abroad to conferences such as InCyber Forum Canada, AFCEA, and various summits to share his knowledge. He is a former contributor to the Forbes Technology Council and author of two influential books: The Cybersecurity Mindset: A Virtual and Transformational Thinking Mode and Cybersecurity Leadership: How to Develop a Successful Mentality and Win. Through his writing, speaking, and hosting the Chief of Cybersecurity® podcast, Dewayne is committed to helping organizations and federal agencies improve resilience, reduce risk, and improve their cyber defense strategies.
