Come out and learn about the “State of the Defense Industrial Base in Georgia”
Our speaker this month is Kimberly S. Allred, Manager-Aerospace, Defense, and Cybersecurity for the Metro Atlanta Chamber. She will discuss what is going on in an around the state including the latest up and coming activities.
In her current role, Kimberly spearheads the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Aerospace and Defense ecosystems where she helps convene business leaders, academia, and other key stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem, grow these industry verticals and recruit new companies within these sectors to locate to the region. Kimberly previously worked on the Chamber’s Economic Development team as a Project Manager facilitating both expansion and recruitment efforts across the 29 county Metro Atlanta region.
Kimberly is involved in numerous community non-profit and professional organizations where she has held several leadership positions including serving on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Site Selector’s Guild, Council for Quality Growth’s Emerging Leaders Initiative, The Drake House Professional Advisory Council, the Greater North Fulton Chamber’s NextGen Committee, and the University of Mississippi’s Young Alumni Council. She also served on the City of Roswell’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan committee, the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Excellence Awards jury, and is a graduate of Leadership North Fulton and the Department of Community Affair’s Georgia Academy for Economic Development.
Kimberly lives in East Cobb with her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Harper Grace.
